The character of the gneissic complex of this region is well exposed. Some of the rocks have been split up into blocks of huge dimension whose polished and clean surfaces have been chequered by veins of various hues. The profile of the river bed changes after passing through the falls. The lower portion is mostly flat, slightly undulating, which gives way to gorge like form. The government has taken several steps to develop the area as a prominent tourist spot along with Khandoli Dam and Parasnath.

The surrounding area is lush with greenery and dense forests, providing an excellent setting for hiking and nature walks.

The region is relatively less explored, which adds to its charm. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and explore the nearby forests, which are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.

4.6. Hirni Waterfalls

Hirni Falls is a waterfall located in West Singhbhum in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is located At an edge of the Ranchi plateau, around Bandgaon, the Ramgarha River plunges down 37 metres in a broad torrent as the Hirni Falls. Hirni has been favoured by nature for scenic beauties. The best part of the landscape in which Hirni falls is located apart from the dense forests surrounding it is the tower located here. One can have the total view of the beautiful waterfalls and the wide ranging jungle around from this tower. The tower gives you incomplete though beautiful views of the city too.

There are also various caves which provides habitat to animals like tiger, bear and porcupine in its vicinity.

4.7 Sita Falls

Nestled deep within the verdant forests of the Latehar district, the visit to Sita Falls will be a breathtaking oasis of natural beauty and tranquillity for you. Fed by the pristine waters of the Koina River, this enchanting waterfall cascades gracefully from a height of approximately 35 meters, creating a mesmerising view that will captivate your senses.

Legend has it that Sita Falls derives its name from the Hindu epic Ramayana, where it is believed that Goddess Sita, during her exile, graced these very waters with her presence. 4.8 Moti Jharna Waterfalls

Moti Jharna (pearl cascade) is the most picturesque waterfall in Sahebganj district, at the head of a picturesque glen of the Rajmahal hills. The water of a small hill stream tumbles over two ledges of rock, each 50 to 60 feet high. It is about 2 miles (3.2 km) from Maharajpur railway station on the Sahibganj loop.
