Abstract : Recruitment and selection are sequential phases of hiring: Recruitment is attracting a large pool of qualified candidates by advertising vacancies and encouraging applications, while Selection is the subsequent process of choosing the best fit from that pool through screening, interviews, and assessments, ultimately leading to a job offer and hiring the right person for the right job . Recruitment focuses on quantity and discovery, while selection focuses on quality and decision-making, narrowing candidates down to one. Recruitment: The Attraction Phase Goal: To create a strong applicant pipeline for current or future roles. Process: Job Analysis & Description: Define the role, responsibilities, and ideal candidate profile.
