They are made up of a set of attributes and values that describe an entity. Purpose Frames help AI systems process and understand information more efficiently. They also help humans understand complex data sets by making them more visual. Origin Frames were first proposed by Marvin Minsky in his 1974 article "A Framework for Representing Knowledge". They are based on semantic networks and are part of structure-based knowledge representations.
