Abstract : Extended reality (XR) systems rely on powerful  hardware components  such as head-mounted displays (HMDs) and specialized peripherals, which integrate various  sensor technologies  to capture real-world data and enable immersive, interactive digital experiences.   Hardware Systems for XR The primary hardware devices for XR applications can be broadly categorized by their form factor and function:   Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs) / Headsets:  These are the core of most immersive XR experiences, ranging from fully enclosed VR headsets that block out the real world to transparent-lensed AR/MR glasses that overlay digital content.
