How to Insert Footnote in Word?

To insert a footnote in Word, go to the "References" tab, click "Insert Footnote," and then type your footnote content. The superscript number in your text will automatically link to the footnote at the bottom of the page. 
Detailed Steps:
  1. Place the cursor: Click within your document where you want to insert the footnote number.
  2. Open the References tab: Click on the "References" tab at the top of the Word window.
  3. Insert Footnote: Click on the "Insert Footnote" button within the "Footnotes & Endnotes" group.
  4. Type your footnote: A new footnote will appear at the bottom of the page, and your cursor will be positioned there, ready for you to type in your footnote text.
