Abstract:

Students must follow the list of subjects in each segment to choose. They must choose at least 5 subjects considering the stream chosen to follow. It means a student must choose one language and four elective subjects for Class 11. At most 9 subjects can be chosen for the higher secondary curriculum.

Rules To Change Subjects In CBSE Board

1. Change of subject(s) in Class 11 may be allowed by the Head of the School but not later than 31st October of that academic session.
2. No candidate shall be permitted to change her subject of study after passing Class 11.
3. The candidate shall not offer a subject in Class 12 that she has not studied and passed in Class 11.
4. Notwithstanding anything contained in the rules (2) and (3), the CBSE Chairman shall have the power to allow a change in subject(s) to avoid undue hardship to the candidate, provided such a request for change is made before 30th August.
